John Horrocks was born on March 1, 1811 in Lancashire, England to his parents John Horrocks (1779 - 1816) and Alice Hulme Horrocks (1778 -1855). He married Mary Gregory on March 9, 1835 in Cathereral, Manchester, Lancashire, England. They had three children, James (1835 -1888), John (1836 - 1906), and Gregory Horrocks (1841 - 1884). John Died on September 27, 1861 and was buried in the Ogden City cemetery, Weber County, Utah.
Mary Gregory was born on November 12, 1814 in Derbyshire, England. She was the daughter of James Gregory and Sarah Bolt. Mer maiden name may be Gregory or Greggory. Nothing is known about their lives conversion and subsequent voyage and trek to Utah.
